THE ARMOR OF GOD
EPHESIANS 6:10-18
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
THE ARMOR OF GOD
THE HELMET OF SALVATION
THE HELMET OF SALVATION

EPHESIANS 6:17
Take the helmet of salvation...

1 Thessalonians 5:8
But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Salvation: Deliverance from danger or difficulty. Deliverance from the power and penalty of sin.

Acts 4:12
Salvation
is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

Luke 19:10
..."For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

As Christians, we are saved by grace through faith, which is a gift from God. Satan's offensive attacks on Christians (or anyone), are severly based on his ability to Lie and deceitfully take advantage of those who are willing to believe his lies. Satan takes advantage of situations with Christians, expressly based on the fact that so many Christians are willing to believe that because they still struggle with specific sins or because they were not completely set free from something...that they were not saved, or they were not sincere enough in their prayer of salvation. Jesus says something very different...

Revelations 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

-God says-

Hebrews 13:5
..."Never will I leave you; Never will I forsake you."

No matter what the devil tells you, Jesus loves us, and when we ask Him to come into our hearts, He comes to live with us...accepting us just as we are. We are not prefect like God. God knows what we need before we even ask him. He knows what's on our minds. God wants to makes us prefect..He is the potter, we are the clay. He that began a good work in us will be just to finish it. In order to live the victorious Christian lives that God wants us to live, Paul says....

Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...

The helmet is the guard of the mind, which is the emotions and the feelings of our bodies. We are to be self-controlled (Galatians 23) individuals...in control of every aspect of ourselves, allowing God to work through us as vessels to do His will. The more we continue to believe the many lies that Satan throws at us...He will continue to deceive and confuse us...

1.So that we cannot be used by God.

2. So that we stop listening to God.

3. So that we turn away from God.

Satan does not waste his time...He knows exactly were to hit us...and how to hit us...We need put on the helmet of salvation everyday so that we can guard our minds from the tricks that are set out to take our focus off of God and onto ourselvers.

Proverbs 14:12
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

- Let us focus our eyes and minds upon Jesus -

Psalm 23:3
...He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding:6-
In all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your paths straight.
